The Enchanted Valley 4th of July parade will line up at Telge park at 10:00 am Saturday.  The Marlins will have a trailer with adult supervision on board.  The parade will leave sharply at 10:45.  The parade route is shown HERE.

Invitational results will be uploaded soon.

Congratulations Enchanted Valley swimmers for winning the Division W4 championship!!!  We stayed close all morning, took the lead in the IM and then never trailed again!  That was a really good team effort.  We knew that it would be close, but the outcome was not a big surprise.  Shayne set a pool record in the 100 Free at 1:08.46 and Shea broke the 25 Free at 15.35, both meter times.  Please see the Results page.

Special thanks go out to Steve Cole for his 20 years of hard work.  He has been fair, diplomatic, down to earth and has displayed the characteristics of what this team has always been about.  However, do not think for one minute that we have seen the last of him.  This team is in his blood and he has not yet DQ'd his grandchild.

Meet invitations are here for RWB and PON.  Please click HERE for revised 2009 Ponderosa Entries and HERE for RWB Entries.  This can be complex because if the qualifying events fall in place, swimmers can attend both.  This year Red, White and Blue is at Cy-Ranch which is closer than Cy-Springs.  Please see the Invitation for a map.  We entered a B relay in 11-12 girls.  The Free relay should be good, but the B Medley is uncertain.

We have more amazing pictures to upload, but this was a very busy weekend.  They really will be uploaded soon.

Enchanted Valley is proud to introduce our coaches for 2009.  Jessica Skelton is returning and attends The U of H and swam for Cy-Fair High School.  She was a Marlin from ages 5 through 18 and has many years of USA swimming.  She taught swimming lessons at Fairfield Fitness Center for 3 years; and while swimming at EV, has assisted as a volunteer coach.  She has one year experience as EV Co-Head Coach.  Kendall Gribble will serve as Co-Head Coach and attends Sam Houston and was Team Captain at Tomball High School.  She has many years of competitive swimming and has coached for Magnolia Aquatic Club.  She is excited to join the deep Marlin tradition and comes highly recommended from the Gregson family.

Any swimmers who are able to secure a tax deductible $500 sponsorship will be reimbursed for registration fees.  Sponsorship is very important for a 503(c) nonprofit organization like ours to exist.

The Enchanted Valley Marlins Swim Team is one of the five founding NWAL (Northwest Aquatic League) teams from 1970 along with Northampton, Ponderosa Forest, River Plantation and Westador.  The NWAL now consists of 96 teams with approximately 14,000 swimmers.  Our mission, as a non-profit organization, is to promote individual improvement for all swimmers through strong swimming skills, fitness, sportsmanship and teamwork in an enjoyable social environment.  Swimmers range in age from 4 to 18.
